Meet Ben Morton
I was elected as the Federal Liberal Member for Tangney at the 2016 Federal Election.
I was then sworn in as the Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister and Cabinet on 29 May 2019 as part of the Second Morrison Ministry.
On 10 December 2020, I took on additional responsibilities previously held by Minister Hunt in assisting the Prime Minister on matters relating to the public service. I also became Assistant Minister for Electoral Matters.
Tangney is my home. I live locally with my wife Asta and our two young kids Harrison and Madeleine. We love our local community and want to make it better.
I am in Parliament for hardworking Australians who want to apply their effort and succeed.
I believe in equality of opportunity, with all Australians having the opportunity to reach their full potential in an inclusive and diverse community.
I want to help build an Australia that empowers people, that rewards individual and community effort and where everyone can achieve their goals.
Community groups, small businesses and local residents are my core focus. I am keen to connect with you to understand what matters to you and your family
I am proud to be part of the Morrison Liberal Government. Together, we are working to build, invest and grow for the future and train people with the right skills so Australia can continue to go from strength to strength.
Having a strong economy means that we can guarantee the delivery of essential services, including funding for our local hospitals, schools, child care, aged care and disability services.
Prior to being elected, I worked in the private sector as a Senior Manager for one of Australia’s largest home builders, BGC. I was also previously the State Director of the Liberal Party of Western Australia, one of WA’s largest membership based organisations. I was also an adviser in the Howard Government.
I am here to help, so please make contact if I can ever be of assistance to you or your family.
